Slesvigske Fodregiment

Slesvigske Fodregiment (English: Schleswig Foot Regiment) was a Danish Army infantry regiment. On January 1, 2001 it was merged, together with Dronningens Livregiment, into Prinsens Livregiment.

Slesvigske Fodregiment can trace its history back to 1778 when it was erected of mixed personnel from existing Regiments. Until 1842 it was garrisoned in Schleswig, until 1854 in Fredericia, until 1923 in Copenhagen and thereafter in Haderslev. The Regiment has participated in the wars, First Schleswig War (1848-1850) and Second Schleswig War (1864). The regiment banner has engraved Boden 1813 and Isted 1850. Since 26 March 1949 the regiment banner has also been carring the name "Slesvigske Fodregiment"
On 1 November 1991 Fynske Livregiment and Kongens Jydske Fodregiment was merged into the regiment.
