The slender stargazer, Crapatalus angusticeps, is a southern sandfish of the family Leptoscopidae, found around New Zealand at depths of between a few metres and 60 m.
The uncommon slender stargazer is a small slender stargazer with a narrow head that is uniform grey-brown above, sometimes with indistinct markings, and white below.
