Sleeping Dogs Lie (originally titled Stay) is a comedy film written and directed by Bobcat Goldthwait, about a girl whose relationships are destroyed when she reluctantly reveals a past indiscretion with a pet.
[edit] Plot summary
An impulsive sexual encounter from her past haunts Amy, an otherwise seemingly normal young woman with a bright future and nice-guy fiancé. But her fiancé has suggested that the couple be completely honest and tell each other everything. When Amy finally relents, encouraged to tell the truth by her coworker and mother (neither of whom really knows what she has to disclose), and reveals her secret (that once, while in college, she performed oral sex on her dog), all hell breaks loose.
[edit] UK Release
The UK release is 16th March 2007
The film has been renamed Sleeping Dogs for the UK release, dropping the "lie" part of the title which featured in the American release. Source: BeenTotheMovies.com
