Talk:Slate industry
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I can see the logic in using this page as an overall Slate Industry article rather than Slate Mine(s) as originally titled: the original aim was (I think!) to provide more of a "what's there now?" than a historical overview, which Rhion's work on Slate Industry in Wales does excellently.
This article grew out of the Mine Exploration article, which describes the activity of exploring old mines and thus I guess it makes sense if it's kept as a brief overview of different regions without a particular focus on detailed history? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Vanoord (talk • contribs) .
- Yes that's the plan. The article needs to be expanded in (at least) two ways. First to cover the slate industry, meaning slate processing as well as extraction. Second to cover other regions, and probably merge some of the existing article on the Welsh slate industry into Rhion's article. Best, Gwernol 09:18, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
