[edit] License tagging for Image:Rajiva.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Rajiva.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:10, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Days of Despair,1989, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Steve (Stephen) talk 23:09, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of V. K. Samaranayake
A tag has been placed on V. K. Samaranayake, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Rehnn83 Talk 11:20, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Possibly unfree Image:Rajiva01.jpg
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Profvks.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Profvks.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:52, 12 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 12:52, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image uploads
You have uploaded a lot of images with no or questionable information on source and licensing status. Please stop, if you keep doing this you'll end up getting blocked. Please read Wikipedia:Copyright, Wikipedia:Image use policy and Wikipedia:Non-free content and if you still have any questions try asking on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions before you upload any more images. --Sherool (talk) 12:58, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Rajiva01.jpg
I have posted a reply to the message you left on the talk page of Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images under the entry of the image itself - as this is where the discussion of an image's status takes place. But I thought I'd leave a message here as well. All images claiming copyright holder's permission (where the copyright holder is not the uploader) need to have permission sent to wikipedia. Details on how this works are at Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.
Also it would help if you always signed your contributions on talk pages and project pages (not articles) with "~~~" so people know who has left the comment and when it was left.
Best wishes. Madmedea 08:58, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ronnie Hilton
Thank you for your input to the Ronnie Hilton article. It is close to my heart as I am both a son of Hull, and the original writer of the Hilton page. Have you any citations/references to add to your input ? I found this aspect almost difficult / impossible to find initially ! Best regards,
