Skypiea's Priests or "Skypiea's Knights" in the FUNimation Dub ("Vassals" in One Piece: Grand Adventure), are the four men who serve under the self-proclaimed god Eneru in the anime and manga series One Piece by Eiichirō Oda. They are Eneru's most loyal (some would say "fanatical") followers, and, short of Eneru himself, the greatest threat to Straw Hat Pirates during the Skypiea arc. Each have their own unique powers, and use Dials (Skypiean energy sources in the form of seashells) as weapons. All of them can use Mantra to know the location of others, as well as predict when their opponent(s) will attack, and dodge them effectively.
Other than the priests, Eneru has 50 warriors called The Enforcers to fight for him (Yama is the leader, Hotori and Kotori are lieutenants of the group). They have stretched out earlobes, like Eneru, and horns. Each of them is armed with an axe dial, which fires out an invisible blade to attack enemies and jet-ski wavers. They all act like goats, as in they bleat out words when they talk. The Enforcers are also confirmed as minor characters, as well as playable, in One Piece: Unlimited Cruise.

[edit] Eneru
- Seiyuu: Toshiyuki Morikawa
- Voice Actor (4Kids Entertainment): Wayne Grayson
- Voice Actor (Funimation): J. Michael Tatum
Eneru (エネル), also spelled "Enel," The God of Skypiea, also known as "King of Skypiea" in the FUNimation's edited Dub, and "Sole Sky Lord of Skypiea" in the 4kids dub. And "Lord Enil" in the Japanese version. He controls the Skypiea priests though is not one himself. Eneru gets his power from the Goro Goro no Mi (Rumble Rumble Fruit) which allows him to manipulate, absorb, generate and transform into electricity, and his attacks are nearly all named after thunder gods from various cultures. When amplified by his ship (the Maxim), they were shown to be able to easily destroy an island. It also gives him the ability to restart his heart (a la a defibrillator) after being killed. His electrical powers also enhance his own Mantra, to the point he has radar-like sense of everything around Sky Island, making him act more like a literal "god", and smite those who offend him.
Outside of his devil fruit abilities, Eneru demonstrated formidable physical skills, augmented by his Mantra capability. He was origially thought as invincible, since his devil fruit power made him completely unrivaled, offering little challenge to his status as "God" (he even destroyed his home island, Bilka which is said to have had great warriors residing as a show of his power, shortly before usurping the mantle of God in Skypeia, six years prior). This belief carried on for him to go as far as to manipulate the 400-year war between the Skypeians and Shandians in a contest he called the "Survival Game" to see who is worthy of joining him to the mythical "Fairy Vearth" predicting five survivors (including himself).
Unfortunately, he overlooked another combatant, Monkey D. Luffy (partly due to being swallowed by a giant python) and was suprised to find out that his rubbery body could nullify his own abilities, making him his only match (Skypeians don't even know what rubber is, making Eneru all the more anxious). Eneru then takes drastic measures to incapacitate Luffy and initiate his plan to destroy Skypeia via, Maxim's Deathpeia cloud and claim the Golden Belfry, which started the war in the first place. However, Luffy, proving to be more formidable than he fought eventually caught up to him and defeated him in one final attack knocking him through the Golden Belfry, falling through the sky. He is later seen escaping in the Maxim, to set off for the pace he believes is the "Fairy Vearth", which turns out to be the Moon.
Oda confirmed that if Eneru were actually a wanted pirate, he would have a bounty could reach up to 500,000,000 Beli[1].
Eneru has had a Mini Cover Story where he finally achieves his goal, and reached the moon. He has recruited an army of small tiny robots there.
He is also one of the several One Piece characters with a unique distinctive laugh (Ya ha ha ha ha!).
He is possibly based off Enlil, the Mesopotamian god of wind, breath, air, and space.
[edit] Satori
- Seiyuu: Yasuhiro Takato
- Voice Actor: Jimmy Zoppi (4Kids Entertainment), Chris Cason (Funimation)
Satori of the Forest (森のサトリ, Mori no Satori) punishes criminals with the Ordeal of Balls (or IQ Orb Test in the Edited English Dub). The spheres he uses have random effects, from explosions and shooting blades to singing birds and flowers. Satori also uses an Impact Dial, which absorbs the force of an attack and releases it back at the attacker. One of his most powerful attacks, called Orb Dragon, involves creating a dragon made out of spheres that contain fire and blades. Satori moves it with a string on the end of a fake candycane. Once a fire sphere is erupted it causes a chain reaction and creates a mighty explosion. With Mantra, he can predict what his enemies are going to do before they do it, and can cause damage to them from the inside of their bodies, but it stops working if he has to use it in too many places at once. After the explosion Luffy came from behind, wrapped Satori with his body and Sanji kicked him in the head. He is the triplet brother of Hotori and Kotori. His ordeal has a 10% chance of survival.
- As with many other One Piece villains, Satori has his own distinct laugh. (Ho, ho-ho!/Ha, ha-ha!) This carries over to the english dub.
- He is confirmed to be a playable character in One Piece: Unlimited Cruise
[edit] Shura
Seiyuu: Shinichirou Ohta
- Voice Actor: Wayne Grayson (4Kids Entertainment), Kent Williams (Funimation)
Skyrider Shura (スカイライダー・シュラ, Sukairaidā Shura), the second priest, punishes criminals with the Ordeal of String (IQ String Test in the English Dub}. He tangles his enemies in nearly-invisible and unbreakable string and then attacks with his lance that has a Heat Dial inside. He rides a flying monster bird named Fuza, who has a Fire Dial in its mouth that allows it to breathe fire. He originally attacked the Going Merry and Chopper but became involved in a battle with Gan Fall until called away. He is defeated by Wiper, who uses a Reject Dial (similar to an Impact dial except 10 times the power), and is presumably dead since the Reject Dial was known to utterly destroy both the target and user. His ordeal has a 3% chance of survival.
- He is confirmed to be a playable character in One Piece: Unlimited Cruise
[edit] Gedatsu
- Seiyuu: Masaya Takatsuka
- Voice Actor (4Kids Entertainment): Unknown (heard in One Piece: Grand Adventure), Bob Carter (FUNimation)
Sky Boss Gedatsu (空番長ゲダツ, Kūbanchō Gedatsu, romanized as Gedatz in the English dub) , the third priest, punishes criminals with the Ordeal of Swamp (IQ Swamp Test in the English Dub}. He can create dense clouds from his hands that his opponents drown in. He also has a Jet Dial attached to his arm, giving him a very fast and powerful punch, and Milky Dials in his shoes that allow him to fly. Tony Tony Chopper defeated him by using the "Rumble Ball" and using "Brain Point" to find out his weakness, which was to remove one of his Milky Dials, making him unable to fly in a straight line. When he lost to Tony Tony Chopper, he falls to the ground and, through a series of accidents and coincidences, ends up helping Goro, Kohza's uncle, start a hot springs resort in Alabasta. His ordeal has a 50% chance of survival, due to his incompetence (If not for this, it would have a 5% chance of survival).
[edit] Trivia
- Gedatsu is one of the oddest characters in One Piece, as he has many strange habits, all of which he is never aware that he is doing (when informed that he is performing one of these habits, he has a shocked look on his face and says "How careless!"). His mannerisms largely parody that of archetypal "serious" villains in action stories. These habits include:
- Rolling his eyes into the back of his head, making him unable to see.
- Sticking his lip into his mouth and closing it, making his voice muffled and incomprehensible.
- Temporarily ceasing to breathe.
- Incorrectly crossing his arms (he doesn't have them meet), making them constantly rub against each other.
- When explaining his abilities, he only thinks about them and forgets to actually talk.
- Accidentally aiming an attack at an ally instead of his enemy (twice).
- During his mini-story:
- Going into the house by going into the small window.
- Attacking anything that randomly appears.
- Heating up the bath water that he's supposed to be currently in.
- Forgetting to blink.
- Digging while standing on a wall instead of the ground.
- "Gedatsu" (解脱) is the Japanese word for Moksha, which in Hindu and Buddhist tradition is the liberation of the soul.
- He appears as Buggy's henchmen in several tv specials.
- He is confirmed to be a playable character in One Piece: Unlimited Cruise
[edit] Ohm
- Seiyuu: Eiji Takemoto
- Voice Actor: Scottie Ray (4Kids Entertainment), Troy Baker (Funimation)
Skybreeder Ohm (スカイブリーダー・オーム, Sukaiburīdā Ōmu) the fourth priest, punishes criminals with the Ordeal of Iron (IQ Iron Test in the English Dub), where the victims are cut into pieces by barbed wires when they step onto hidden panels. He attacks with a sword made of iron cloud that has a Dial in it that allows him to turn the sword's blade into any shape including a wall or a whip. He constantly laments about the life of his opponents and says he'll save them by killing them. He is defeated by Roronoa Zoro who, despite Ohm using Mantra to predict his attack, waits for him to attack to give away his position. He then cuts through Ohm's sword using the 108 Pound Cannon attack to defeat him. His ordeal has a 0% chance of survival, giving Zoro an "immortal" view.
"Aum" (ॐ), also spelled "Om," is the holiest syllable in Hinduism, and begins most mantras.
- He is confirmed to be a playable character in One Piece: Unlimited Cruise
[edit] Holy
Voice Actor: Jason Grundy
Holy (ホーリー Hōrī) is a huge, pale yellow dog that Ohm taught to box and stand on two feet. Ohm often tends to ride him around while traveling and fighting. Holy is very loyal to Ohm, and is a powerful fighter who, oddly enough, knows martial arts. However, he isn't particularly smart, and will obey almost anyone: when Holy suddenly attacked Zoro, Zoro instinctively yelled the order "stay," which he did. Realizing Holy would obey him, Zoro then told him to "hit yourself on the head and take a little nap", and Holy did just that, thereby defeating himself.
[edit] Fuza
Fuza is the giant purple and red feather bird used by Shura. He has a Flame dial in his mouth, allowing him to breath fire. He is big enough for Shura to ride him.
- Voice Actor: Chris Cason (Funimation)
[edit] Yama
Not a priest, Yama is the chief of Enel's enforcers. He attacks using his monsterous strength and mass, along with a strip of cloth with ten Axe Dials sewn onto it, called the Axe Mountain, though he apparently can't use Mantra. He is easily defeated by Nico Robin after he destroys the ruins she was looking at. He was last seen being thrown off a cliff by Robin as she used her ability to put Yama in a painful hold, during which Yama was begging for mercy.
- Voice Actor: Andy Chandler (Funimation)
- Yama means 'mountain' in Japanese; this may allude to his above average size.
- Yama is also the name of the god of the Death in Hinduism and Buddhism.
[edit] Hotori and Kotori
These two are not priests (they are lieutenants of the Enforcers) but seem to be around the same level as their brother Satori. They utilize a various number of Dials (Impact, Fire, Axe, and farts stored in a Flavor dial) which can be used with each other for combination effects. They lack the power of mantra that their brother possesses, making them much less deadly in combat than he is. Kotori was defeated by Gan Fall, while Hotori was beaten by Nami using Gan Fall's Impact Dial.
Hotori and Kotori have the same distinct laugh as their brother, Satori. (Ho, ho-ho!/Ha, ha-ha!)
