Skyline School, USD 438, was founded in 1966, 2 miles west of Pratt, Kansas, on U.S. Route 54. The Thunderbird, or T-Bird, was chosen as the school's mascot and it encompasses grades K - 12 in the same facility.
In the late 1960's, various rural communities and towns opted to combine their smaller schools into one, centralized school. The local communities included Byers, Coats, Cullison, Isabel, Sawyer, and Iuka. Students were bused in from these towns as well as the local neighboring farming communities.
Skyline has graduated nearly 1000 students and is one of two high schools in Pratt County, Kansas, with Pratt High School being the second.
