Skyline College

Skyline College is a community (or junior) college located in San Mateo County, California, within the limits of the city of San Bruno, California south of San Francisco. It is part of the San Mateo County Community College District and offers more than 80 Associate Degree and Certificate programs.

Through Skyline’s Guaranteed Transfer Program, many Skyline graduates transfer to numerous four-year colleges and universities. Other Skyline college students graduate and achieve an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.). Students achieve employment and advancement in business and industry after earning certificates from Skyline’s 43 Certificate programs. Some certificate programs offered include:, Automotive Technology, Biotechnology, Cosmetology, many areas of Business, Early Childhood Education, Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Technology, and Telecommunications & Network Information Technology.

The campus is situated immediately east of a crest that overlooks of the San Andreas fault — the uppermost parking lot provides a good view of the fault. Architecturally, the campus dates from the late 1960s. It was built of pre-formed concrete slabs bolted together with steel in anticpation of a great earthquake.
