Sky News at Ten
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sky News at Ten is a long-running daily news show on Sky News between 10:00pm and 11:00pm (including Sportsline at 10:45pm). From Monday to Thursday, the show is presented by Anna Botting whilst Friday to Sunday Steve Dixon fronts the programme.
The show was originally launched in 1998 following the move of ITN's News at Ten. At this time, the show used its own special version of the Sky News graphics and a unique mix of the Sky News Music. The voice-over provided at this time by Bruce Hammell was also unique to the show, reading; "Live from the sky news centre, This is Sky News at 10 with Bob Friend and Anna Botting."
Over the years, the show has been presented by many of Sky's presentersa although between 2002 and October 2005, the show had no set presenters, with a group of five or six rotating the duties. These included Chris Roberts, Vivien Creegor, Steve Dixon, Allan King, Emma Crosby, and Martin Popplewell.
