[edit] Radio Station
The service was originally expected to be a collaboration between BSkyB and Global Radio[2], and that Global Radio's existing LBC News 1152, would become 'Sky News Radio'.[3].
A previous collaboration also fell through. Sky were to have been a partner will Chrysalis (Now Global) in the now defunct rolling news station DNN.
The station will operate on DAB across the United Kingdom on the second national multiplex operated by the 4 Digital Group.
[edit] Chrysalis Radio Sold
On the 25th June 2007 it was announced that Sky News Radio along with its sister stations Heart, The Arrow, LBC and Galaxy were to be sold for £170 million to Global Radio UK from Chrysalis.[4]
Following a business review [5] Global's chief executive has announced that they are withdrawing from the joint venture. Sky have announced plans to find a partner elsewhere.
