Skway First Nation

The Skway First Nation (Shxwhá:y) are a Stó:lō people living in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia, Canada. They traditionally speak the Upriver dialect of Halkomelem, one of the Salishan family of languages of the Coast Salish peoples.
The nation is has one reserve situated north of the Chilliwack River, east and south of the Fraser River, and west of the Coco-Oppelo Slough.
The Shxwhá:y are not participating in the treaty process with the Sto:lo Nation Tribal Council. [1]
