The Skunk Frog (Aromobates nocturnus), is a species of critically endangered[1]frog native to Estado Trujillo, Venezuela. The Skunk Frog is the only species of the genus Aromobates. It is an extremely rare frog, and no sightings have been recorded since the original description in the early 1990s.

According to Grant et al (2006), Aromobates has been moved from the Dendrobatidae family (the Poison dart frogs) into a new, distinct family, Aromobatidae.
