Skownan Fist Nation is a community with a population of approx. 500 people. located 300 km north of [Winnipeg, Manitoba] at the end of Provincial Trunk Highway 276 North along the southeast shore of lake Waterhen. The citizens of Skownan are mostly of Ojibway descent. Lake.[1][2]
Known by the Government of Canada as the as the Waterhen 45 Indian Reserve it is 12 km north of the town of Waterhen, Manitoba.
