[edit] List of the oldest people
Hi Skirgedot. I was happy to help out. Glad to have someone new doing editing on this page. So what brings you to this article and where are you from? Regards, Rrsmac 01:05, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
It's my favourite record too. Maybe because these records move towards being broken every day, not just every few years like tallest, smallest etc. Congratulations on your elderly relative. She must have lived a very interesting life. I'm sure you know that the second oldest person in the world, Maria De Jesus, is Portuguese also. You must live in a healthy country. Another Portuguese person involved in this matter is Filipe Prista Lucas who is an investigator for the Gerontology Research Group see [1]. There is also a discussion group, The World's Oldest People see [2]. Don't worry, your English is good! Don't forget to sign off with your user-id using four "~"s like this Rrsmac 22:40, 4 September 2007 (UTC) All the best, Rrsmac 22:40, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Please don't remove day-counters
Note in the Maria Capovilla article, the day counter gives the age as '116 years, 347 days.' Please do not remove. What if we just gave the winning Olympic 800 meter results 'to the nearest minute.' Not specific enough. To the day seems reasonable for the 'oldest people.'Ryoung122 23:17, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
