[edit] Dark Alex
I deleted Dark alex on July 3 and there's nothing there that's salvagable for any article, just dome guy going "Will be greatly missed by many PSP owners around the globe." Dark Alex has been deleted 3 times by admins other than myself. These deletions were perfectly reasonable: one version was just like the one I deleted (no useful content) and twice it was a pure copyright violation (cut and paste of another site).
As such, I won't restore any article. You are free to create a new bio, but take care to follow Wikipedia's policies of WP:NPOV, WP:V & WP:OR, and its guidelines of WP:BIO & WP:RS. — Scientizzle 18:07, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for your guidance in this matter. I will now set about researching for the new article. Skip1337 20:12, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- I have deleted the page Dark Alex because it was substantially identical to the page Dark AleX which was deleted several months ago as a result of this deletion debate/vote. If you believe the article should exist, you can try making your case at deletion review. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 00:32, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, Wikipedia has its deletion policies; however, one of them is speedy deletion, and one of the speedy deletion criteria includes pages that were previously deleted as a result of "articles for deletion" discussion/vote (as a consensus that the page should not exist has already been established). Since the page was deleted over half a year ago, and since you have disputed the deletion at deletion review (and I agree that it's hard to comment on a page's merits if you can't see it), I have restored the page for re-consideration at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dark Alex. [edit] Speedy deletion of Jetman (Facebook application)
A tag has been placed on Jetman (Facebook application) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
