The Skipton Building Society is the sixth largest mutual lending and savings organisation (known as a building society) in the United Kingdom.[1]
The Society was established in 1853 in Skipton, North Yorkshire. The headquarters are still in Skipton. Assets are over £10bn.
The Society has 20 subsidiary companies, most in the financial services industry. Together they form the Skipton Group of companies.
