Skip Hamilton is an American cyclist, runner, and cross-country skier. Having had a successful competitive career in endurance events on the national level, he now coaches and teaches bicycle handling skills in Western Colorado. He can often be found at Over The Edge Sports in Fruita, Colorado. He is a loving father of two, and has enjoyed teaching his children about the outdoor world he has come to love.
In his thirties, Skip excelled in ultra-marathon running. He raced the Leadville 100 (a 100-mile trail running race through the mountains near Leadville, CO (elev. 10,200 ft.) six times, winning the race four times. He completed the grueling course in just over eighteen hours several times.
