Skinningrove was a railway station on the Whitby Redcar and Middlesbrough Union Railway. It was opened on April 1, 1875, and served the village of Skinningrove and Dalehouse. It was originally named "Carlin How", but was renamed on October 1, 1903 by the North Eastern Railway. It closed to normal passenger traffic on June 30, 1952, but retained a workmen's service to the steelworks until May 5, 1958.
