Skiathlon

Skiathlon is a cross-country skiing disclipline in which one half of the race is run using classic technique and the other half using skating technique. The time required to change skis is not deducted from the overall time.

It is also referred to as "pursuit", or "double pursuit".

Not to be confused with biathlon.
