You haven't sense of houmour!--87.17.103.8 15:59, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- Rather I don't tolerate vandalism. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a playground. --Skenmy(talk)|(news) 16:59, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] AppliedIRC
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article AppliedIRC, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:AppliedIRC. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Cheers, TewfikTalk 16:51, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Scotzine spammer
Seems you noticed the same spammer as me (IP 81.157.55.64). It involved linking to www.scotzine.com and has been done before, from a different address. Is there a way to quickly find if the person has done this again? I only noticed near-simultaneous edits on a number of pages I watch. Fedgin 15:52, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- I just had a page popup in VandalProof that had the scotzine spam link. I rolled back and left the warning - I can't think of any real way of checking for that text rather than watching the Special:Contributions page of the user, and checking every edit they make. Not exactly pretty but worth it if the spamming continues. --Skenmy(talk)|(news) 15:55, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- N.B. It actually appears that every one of his edits (Special:Contributions/81.157.55.64) is the spam link. Perhaps time for an RfAIAV? --Skenmy(talk)|(news) 15:57, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Blah blah blah
Kindly refrain from using my talk page as a sandbox. Chris 19:43, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- Referenced edit was a test2 warning for nonsense to an article. Not sandbox material. --Skenmy(talk)|(news) 19:44, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Wikipedia is a sandbox of sorts, so why not fill it with sandboxy talk? Chris 19:46, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Although you clearly did not appreciate reading my sandboxy talk on morality... Chris 19:48, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
-end communique- Chris 19:49, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- Regarding previous message posted: I am the judge, being on active patrol right now. I deemed the content as nonsense to the article and gave an automated warning. As stated on my userpage: if I made a mistake please unrevert it and continue as before. I am quite civil to people who constructively point out mistakes - my civility drops when confronted like this.
- New Message Posted: Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a sandbox. We have the sandbox for testing - but the rest is a factual database. Adding nonsense to articles is considered vandalism and will get you banned from editing. --Skenmy(talk)|(news) 19:51, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
I'm not quite convinced that banning me would be good for Wikipedia. Then again, you are the authority on such matters.
Anyway, as you may or may not have noticed, I do not persistently add 'nonsense' again and again to the same page. I'll add it once, and if someone changes, deletes, or otherwise questions its legitimacy, I will resopnd accordingly. If its a very important topic to me (e.g. healthy eating) I may add nonsense to one article repeatedly, and if that gets me banned, well then I guess I'm already up s--t creek without a paddle.
Anyway, I'm sure I'm coming off as a right asshole, so I'll shut up. I do apologize for any perceived slight, however. Sorry. Chris 23:43, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- Any sort of nonsense being added is worthless and detrimental to the quality of the site. I never said you persistently do it - itv was just an automated warning from inside VandalProof. --Skenmy(talk)|(news) 15:35, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My RfA
Thank you for participating in my RfA, which passed with a tally of 91/1/4. I can't express how much it means to me to become an administrator. I'll work even more and harder to become useful for the community. If you need a helping hand, don't hesitate to contact me. NCurse work 15:41, 8 October 2006 (UTC) |
[edit] You are mistaken
I linked Enma to go straight to the Dragon Ball article. There are updates being made to that DBZ page, though, that's why its like that, dude. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dragonball1986 (talk • contribs)

[edit] Welcome to Esperanza!
Welcome, Skenmy, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.
Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.
In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.
If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Shenfield High School logo.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Shenfield High School logo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:52, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
