[edit] Speedy deletion of Olivant

A tag has been placed on Olivant requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I contested this deletion, as Olivant is a notable company. SkeletorUK (talk) 12:29, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] CSD:A7

Hi. :) I came across your speedy deletion tag on Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T200, and I just wanted to point out to you that {{db-a7}} is specifically for people (individually or grouped) and websites. There is no consensus for speedily deleting other articles types under this criterion. As Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion/Explanations notes, other articles that fail to assert notability should go through proposed deletion or articles for deletion. Thanks for looking out for Wikipedia. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:18, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hope & Glory (album)

It's not really a "Reference". How about "References and notes"? Pdfpdf (talk) 23:33, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
(P.S. What don't you like about "Footnotes"? Pdfpdf (talk) 23:33, 23 December 2007 (UTC))

Fine by me. Thanks. Pdfpdf (talk) 23:38, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Commissioner v. Kowalski

Hey, I saw you added the wikify tage to Commissioner v. Kowalski‎. I was gonna take a stab at it when I get some spare time, but was hoping you could point out any particular areas of concern. I recently added an infobox, btw. Thanks. CarbonX (talk) 22:15, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] i thought i'd seen everything

you are completely wrong and i'm reverting your edit of my edit! Mutt Lange is the co writer on both songs, but it is not a cover song. Mutt obviously used the same title twice. Listen to the music before you change things around! Michelle1 (talk) 14:57, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

It's far more than just the title and i have also changed the wording from cover to version SkeletorUK (talk) 18:29, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] List of Indian women artists

I declined this Prod tag; we don't generally delete articles due to too many red links.   jj137 (talk) 00:08, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Changing reference lists

Why are you making a practice of changing <references/> to {{reflist}}?

Also, please note that it isn't correct to rename a section from Notes to References if any of the entries are just notes, without being a citation to a source. This happened in the case of Rod (unit).

Could you explain why {{reflist}} is superior to <references/>? --Gerry Ashton (talk) 22:52, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
