Skerik's Syncopated Taint Septet (aka SST7) is a Jazz ensemble formed in Seattle, Washington in 2002. Musical influences include a variety of jazz styles from dixieland to avant-garde as well as funk and hip-hop. It is self-described by Skerik as "punk-jazz. Maybe a punk-jazz version of the Thelonious Monk Octet."
