Welcome to Wikipedia. From your entries I'd infer you descend from (or perhaps are of) Northern Norwegians of Finnic Kven heritage. If so, this is what makes Wikipedia work well; we benefit from balancing contributions of diverse perspectives. Looking forward to more of your work. Thanks - Williamborg 16:37, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Kvenland
Please stop adding a history section about Kvenland to pages about municipalities in Finnmark and Troms. You have used the same text in tens of articles. I am from the area but have never heard about Kvenland before (but I know about the Kven minority in Norway), neither are there any verified sources in the Kvenland article. Also, a large part of the text is irrelevant for the history of the given village or municipality, or is wrong. For example, although the Kven dialect received a legal language status in 2005, it has nothing to do with the history of Karasjok. You also claim that for many villages the majority of the population spoke the Kven dialect. For Karasjok, and probably many other villages, this is not true (I am from the area).
I consider all history sections about Kvenland as not verified, point of view pushing ,and irrelevant for the history of the given villages or municipalities and have therefore removed these sections. --Labongo 03:22, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
