Skate Theory is a community website dedicated to skateboarding and "Everything Skateboarding". It has been put on earth for the sole purpose of informing skateboarders of news and events in their local community. If it has to do with skateboarding than you’ll find it here. Forget about the other "action sports" out there, we don’t care or include them here! Local, amateur, or professional: they are treated equally, as long as it’s still skateboarding. Whether it’s an individual, small shop, big corporation, or a skate park, if there is a skateboard involved it’s important.
So what is Skate Theory, it a concept that’s happening now. The idea is simple: get all the news, events, and happenings about skateboarding and post them in one, easy-to-find place. It’s working from the inside out, it feeds the rest of the world news not the rest of the world feeding you news. If you have information, we work to make it as easy as possible for you to post this information online.
It’s for you to share information that’s interesting and relevant and part of the thing we all have in common, skateboarding. It’s for you to get the information to make skateboarding a better and more widely-accepted sport. Or just to find out what’s going on in your area.
[edit] Keeping the Skateboard community informed
The main role of Skate Theory is to keep the skate community informed of event and news. News can be submitted through anyone of the forms on the website. This way it works more on a local level and captures events from local skate community then the world.
