- a mountain in Slovakia
- Skalnaté Pleso Observatory on the mountain
- a shorthand name for the Atlas Coeli Skalnate Pleso, published by Sky Publishing Corporation as the Skalnate Pleso Atlas of the Heavens. It was compiled at the observatory and was popular with amateur astronomers in the 1970s, and has since been supplemented by other atlases. In 1998 the observatory published a brand-new all-sky work, Atlas Coeli Novus, with stars to magnitude 8.3 in 20 sections.
