Skaha Lake (freshwater lake located in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. It has a surface area of approximately 20 km², with a maximum depth of 55 metres. The lake is situated directly south of Okanagan Lake and the city of Penticton, British Columbia.
) is aIt was once known officially as "Dog Lake", which is a direct translation of Skaha Lake's name in Syilx'tsn, the Okanagan language, although the reference was to ponies ("large dogs") rather than to dogs per se.
