Skaar is a fictional character that appears in the Marvel Comics universe, created by Greg Pak.

Skaar is the son of the Hulk and the Shadow Warrior Caiera the Oldstrong, conceived during the Planet Hulk storyline. He will star in his own ongoing series, Skaar: Son of Hulk, which was planned for March 2008.[1][2][3] and is now set for a June 2008 release,[4] with Pak returning to write the story[5] [6] and Ron Garney providing the art.[7]
Skaar first appeared in World War Hulk #5 (November 2007) emerging from the lava pits of Planet Sakaar.[8] From an interview it is said the only things he knows is that the planet was left in shambles and that his father left him in the lava pits. There are no current plans to have Skaar and Hulk have a family reunion but Greg Pak hinted at the possibility during an interview with IGN.[citation needed] Skaar is Half Hulk and half Oldstrong. It is yet to be seen which side of his family heritage his superhuman abilities and powers stem from if not both.
It seems that an Old Strong or a Hulk/Old Strong combo create eggs. Seen IN the first issue. The blast that killed Caiera turned her into dust in Hulks arms. He didn't realize that when she died an egg fell into the lake of fire. It seems within hours - days the egg hatched, revealing a baby Skaar which at the time looked 4 years old. Within a month he looked 9. A year passes and he looks like a teenager.

In the What If? storyline What if Caiera the Oldstrong had survived the destruction of Sakaar instead of the Hulk?, a 21-year-old version of Skaar appeared near the end, partialy seen and obscured by shadows.
[edit] Powers and Abilities
Skaar from birth has superhuman strength. Later on he shows that he can draw power from the planet and turn his body into stone(or create stone copies of himself) like his mother. Also, he can regenerate himself after being shattered. The level at which he can control these powers are unknown at the time. It also seems that he is aging at a rapid rate.
