[edit] Production staff lists
Hi Sjones23,
Production staff isn't necessary to list outright within the article proper, as a full list, without any commentary or additional context, probably constitutes trivia. — TKD::Talk 20:34, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- I'd like to reiterate this sentiment as well since you didn't seem to get it the first time. Axem Titanium 22:22, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
I got your messages. Without the commentaries or notices, I shouldn't have to add more staff members to the article.
- I'm afraid you misunderstand. Placing them into the infobox does not make them any less trivial, it just clutters the infobox. Full game credits are not needed for Wikipedia. Axem Titanium 02:00, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I agree with you, Axem Titanium. You know something? When you're right, you're right. I understand what you are saying about this. I do forgive you. Full game credits aren't needed like you said and I will try not to use full game credits.--Sjones23 02:08, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
I wanted to add some important staff members and other information for Final Fantasy, but that was trivial and the infobox got cluttered up by accident when I added some more staff members and whoops, that was unnecessary information! My bad :D! Also, if I want to experiment to test my editing skills, I will experiment by using the Sandbox ^_^. I won't let you down, Axem Titanium, PresN and TKD, even if I use it. No Worries about that here ^_^. Thanks for the information and advice you gave me earlier, my friends ^_^. I do really like all of you and I am always nice to all of you ^_^.--Sjones23 03:29, 6 January 2007 (UTC).
- Good luck, and happy editting. Axem Titanium 03:54, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

No problem. You're doing much better. I'm impressed. Axem Titanium 22:11, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- No problems here also and Thanks ^_^. I'm also very impressed and agree with your comment as usual.--Sjones23 22:33, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Languages
Hi. What are your native languages, and how well are you versed in the other languages? I can fix your languages boxes for you if you tell me that. --GunnarRene 18:23, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- I taught myself Japanese when I was younger (about 14 or 15). I am really well versed at speaking English, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Italian, German and Japanese and also with several different languages.--Sjones23 18:26, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- They're all currently listed as your mother tongue if you read the text, so you might want to add levels to some of them. Sounds a little strange to list "basic Japanese" next to "native Japanese". (^_-) Dekimasu 04:28, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, what Japanese level are you actually? If you're that good, I'll pursue you for a better translation of the Ultimania. The Ivalice article needs a very, very, very good rehash. Bluerです。 なにか? 18:06, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- I can speak a lot of Japanese. I will help with the Ivalice article, but I will need your help.

[edit] Bolding staff lists
Hi, I hope you're doing well. The staff list and other parts of an article should never be bolded or highlighted unless it is the actual title of the article or are highlighting character names, etc., per WP:MOS, and neither should the first letter of the proceeding word be capitalized (e.g. it should be Chief animator instead), per the above manual of style. I should note that I added the staff list myself into the article (from the Japanese interwiki), so I feel that it is necessary to be added into each related article, but unnecessarily highlighting it will lessen the overall article's feel (you will see that the highlighting is never done in any featured article nor any of the Japanese wiki entries, as it does not conform to the manual of style). Ganryuu (talk) 05:25, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- I am really doing well and I am putting staff credits in most of the anime articles and I am cleaning up the staff lists per WP:MOS recently. I am looking forward to working with you, Ganryuu (talk). You wanted to save me unnecessary work as well. Thanks for the piece of advice you gave me. I will do my best. Can you help me out on some of the anime articles? If you do, that would be great. Thanks again for the piece of advice. Sjones23 00:42, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
- I'm delighted to hear that you are also adding and expanding on the staff lists; as you might have noticed, almost all anime articles on the Japanese wiki have staff sections, which can be very informative and helpful to the article, therefore I would certainly be delighted to help you on any articles you wish (^_^). Nihonjoe, a great administrator and friend, also adds staff sections to the most of the articles he creates or expands. I also wanted to make a minor self-correction, apparently you can add things such as Chief Animator or Executive Producer (but you can also use Chief animator or Executive producer as well, apparently it's a matter of choice over the manual of style) inside a particular section (say, Staff) but this shouldn't be added in the title of the section. Therefore, I greatly apologize for this, as well as not having contacted you sooner (^_^). ···巌流? · Talk to Ganryuu 20:40, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

I'm looking forward to be working with you too. :D Belias, well, ((trying not to sound too vain) I remember when I was fighting the guy, I was actually restraining myself not to kill him too quick. We know he's a fire elemental, so Flame shields help defend from fire attacks. And leveling up, maybe above 20 (that's what I did) and using quickenings are good too. vossler's a big help on this one. :D Feels good to hear from a fellow Final Fantasy XII player, good day! 私はBluerです 05:56, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Exceptional Newcomer
The Exceptional Newcomer Award | ||
You arrived, did a lot of stuff and got yelled at but you didn't give up. You just took the criticism in stride and now you're contributing more positively to the encyclopedia. While not always directed towards the right place, you have a lot of enthusiasm. At any rate, you have plenty of time to get the hang of things and find your niche. [edit] Mystery of Mamo
I have reverted your changes to the Mystery of Mamo article made on 23:43, 3 June 2007. The stated rationale "all deceased actors and cast members should always have "the late" before their names" is not defined in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style and is not used in Wikipedia and other articles. See, for example, the The Internet Movie database website that lists movies and casts, or take a look at other Wikipedia articles that contain a cast list. Truthanado 23:58, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the help and pointing out this fact to me. It is much appreciated. I didn't realize, Truthanado, that I made an error. Once again, thanks. All the best. Sjones23 00:14, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] talkpage
Hey, even if you do need to remind people to watch out for vandals, please avoid excessive markups. Those enthusiastic messages in the WPFF and FFVI talk page are disruptive; it's not necessary for you to embolden and put caps to emphasize your point. Next time, read the talk page guidelines thoroughly. I recommend you edit your post and soften it. — Bluerで す。 21:25, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Test
I have noticed that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks!
- Ah, now I see. I will use an accurate edit summary. :D Cheers. Greg Jones II 18:00, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unreferenced...
I take issue with this because, in some entries, I cited page numbers and volumes.
The template is false because of the "any" - If you can make a tag that states that the article needs MORE sources, that's fine.
I am removing the template because the template states that the article does not state any sources - this is clearly false.
You may put the cousin template for sections in each section that has no sources. WhisperToMe 21:19, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
You are welcome :) WhisperToMe 21:25, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Crash Bandicoot
The scaled articles section on the PlayStation project page has a new rule. Each article on the scaled articles list now has a group leader, the person who put that article on that list. However, a user can only be a group leader for one article. This means that I can no longer be group leader for all three Crash Bandicoot articles on the list. With that new rule in mind, I have chosen the original Crash Bandicoot article as the article that I'll be group leader of. You put your name down for those three articles and I was wondering if you would like to be group leader of either Crash Bandicoot 2 or 3. Remember, you can only take one. The one that you don't choose will be removed from the list until I am finished editing the original Crash Bandicoot. I hope to be hearing from you sometime during the week. The weasel tag is a perfectly viable tag to put there if they feel that the section is too positive (which, given the editor's past edits, they do). I've asked them to respond to the tags on the talk pages, so they can fully explain what their beef is. Until that happens (or such time has passed without it happening), I'm restoring the tags as a good-faith effort to improve Wikipedia. EVula // talk // ☯ // 18:30, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Hideki Tasaka
A tag has been placed on Hideki Tasaka requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Request for copyedit
Sitakunda Upazila has gone through a rigorous peer review that dealt mostly in content (thanks to Amartya). Then it was put forward as a WP:GAN, but was withdrawn by Miranda as she disagreed very much with the quality of the copy. I have formally applied to the LOCE Request page, but it has long backlog and it's always nicer to work with individuals. The article has almost no content issues (apart from a few redlinks) and is very stable at the point. I myself am a lousy copywriter, but I will be there to meet you every need in developing the article (that includes answering questions, filling in gaps, clarifying information and everything in that line)... I promise. I have high hopes for the article. As far as I can see, all that stands between an FA status and this article are "brilliant prose" and a few, really few, areas of content improvement. [edit] Admin coaching request update
You have previously expressed an interest in undergoing the Admin coaching program. We're currently engaged in a program reset to help things move more smoothly in the future. If you are still interested in the program, please go to Wikipedia:Admin coaching/Requests for Coaching and re-list yourself under Current requests, deleting your entry from Older requests. Also, double-check to make sure coaching is right for you at the Coachee checklist; WP:Adoption or WP:Editor review may be more appropriate depending on your situation and aspirations. We should get back to you within a day or so, once a coaching relationship has been identified. Thank you. MBisanz talk 07:23, 9 March 2008 (UTC) |

[edit] Coaching
Glad to see your still interested. Right now we're pretty full up, but given the low level of supervision my current coachee needs (a good thing) and how close your record makes you seem to RFA, I'd be willing to take you on. So you've been active over a year, have a clean block log, don't see any warnings on your page, or a failed RFA, has anything other than the lack of a coach stopped you from going to RFA? Of the things at Wikipedia:Admin_coaching/Requests_for_Coaching#Other_options, which aren't you familiar with? Of the noticeboards at Template:Editabuselinks, which ones do you contribute to? Have you written any DYK/GA/FA stuff? MBisanz talk 05:45, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- I contribute to articles specifically on Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts as well as many anime articles. Nothing has stopped me from going to RFA. Thanks for the comment. Greg Jones II 20:22, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Final Fantasy VII featured article review
Final Fantasy VII has been nominated for a featured article review. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to featured quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, articles are moved onto the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article from featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Reviewers' concerns are here. FightingStreet (talk) 13:37, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Pokémon
The list of participants of the Pokémon WikiProject is quite sizable, however, there is no way to determine which of whom are active contributors to that project. All participants in the list have been moved to Inactive. If you consider yourself to be an active member of the Pokémon WikiProject, please go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Pokémon#Participants and move your username to the Active section. Thank you.
