[edit] Welcome from Ioeth

Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such unreasonable information or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, and will result in your account being blocked.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! [edit] Speedy deletion of 425 Crew

A tag has been placed on 425 Crew requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you create an inappropriate page, such as 425 Crew, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Ioeth (talk contribs friendly) 20:25, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

At this time you should also read Wikipedia:There is no cabal. Michaelbusch (talk) 20:30, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
I dont think wikipedia is a giant conspiracy, I just know that some administrators have the mindset that their views on importance is the only correct one and that justifies them in deleting other's pages. That's a Wikinazi. SJHAGoalie (talk) 20:45, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Seattle Totems (WHL)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Seattle Totems (WHL), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Seattle Totems. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 21:37, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] This is what you SHOULD have done

If you want to rename an article, such as Seattle Totems into Seattle Totems (WHL), you should have used the WP:MOVE feature.

Unfortunately, you cut and pasted, destroying page histories. Wikipedia administrators will now have to repair the damage. Flibirigit (talk) 23:25, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
