Hmm, both winners by Fools Mate. I don't think this game will get to that point, but without seeing real play from either (fools mate doesn't give enough moves to work out who *really* knows how to play ;) ), I can't say who will win. Best of luck to the both of you though. NeoThermic 03:19, 19 May 2005 (UTC)

By agreement, I'm white and he's black. Calls of racism, begin... now. User:Luigi30 (Υσηρ ταλκ ΛυηγηΛ) 10:48, 19 May 2005 (UTC)

And Luigi30 starts out with a Queen's Pawn Game opening. NeoThermic 16:18, 19 May 2005 (UTC)
No, Queen's Pawn Game would be 1. d4. Eric119 18:05, 19 May 2005 (UTC)
Ah yes, well spotted. This in turn would make it a Mieses Opening. NeoThermic 18:14, 19 May 2005 (UTC)

User:Linuxbeak has suggested on Wikipedia Talk:Chess championship that we delay beginning the second round until the first has been completed. If you like, we can begin play right away anyway, but I wouldn't mind a little break. Jonathan Christensen 17:43, 19 May 2005 (UTC)

Okay. No more moves till round 1 is done. User:Luigi30 (Υσηρ ταλκ ΛυηγηΛ) 19:34, 19 May 2005 (UTC)

While we're still waiting for the first round to end, I just thought I'd let you know that I may have limited internet access through next Thursday. I should be able to get on a couple times a day if Round 1 finished by then, but don't expect fast games.

After that, It'll be back to normal again. Jonathan Christensen 22:21, 26 May 2005 (UTC)

Alright, let's get this thing going... before I leave again. Maybe we can make it quick. Jonathan Christensen 09:52, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

No, no. You're not supposed to put the knight on the side of the board. Haven't you heard the phrase, "A knight on the rim is dim?" See http://www.justchess.biz/knights.php

That's just beginner tips. Its not a hard and fast rule, there are excellent reasons why to place the knight there...don't you know hypermodern play? :p -- Natalinasmpf 22:25, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Playing this way somehow gave me a fool's mate in the last game, but it doesn't seem to be working here! User:Luigi30 (Ταλκ) 21:56, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Sorry for the trouble, but I'm once again going to be without internet access for a few days... I expect I'll be back on Thursday night or Friday morning (GMT). This will be the last time, I promise! Jonathan Christensen 06:09, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Ouch. Sam Hocevar 21:34, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Well, I'm screwed. User:Luigi30 (Ταλκ) 21:54, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Welcome to game tree #2... Nathan256 28 June 2005 12:18 (UTC)

Sorry, I meant to say, "A knight on the rim is dead." Nathan256 28 June 2005 12:17 (UTC)

My internet is intermittent until Sunday, so I can't play chess until then. User:Luigi30 (Ταλκ) 29 June 2005 13:14 (UTC)

Back! User:Luigi30 (Ταλκ) 4 July 2005 18:48 (UTC)

After move 21, white is a Q, a N, and 2 P's down with the rest of his back row pieces poorly developed, and his K in check. I see only 3 possible moves for white, none of which really save the game. I would not be surprised if this game ends soon. H Padleckas 04:17, 2 August 2005 (UTC)

Actually, I believe I have mate in at most two... Jonathan Christensen 09:23, 2 August 2005 (UTC)
Yes, you do. I just didn't want to say it yesterday, but you will win anyway regardless, so my remark won't change the result of the game. At this point, I will leave it up to you to figure out the details. H Padleckas 11:59, 2 August 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for the game! Jonathan Christensen 20:42, 5 August 2005 (UTC)

Fun! User:Luigi30 (Ταλκ) 02:56, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
