I am Sixth Star and this is my page! I stick to the automotive categories of Wikipedia, as that is what I am most interested in, but occasionally I drift elsewhere. I correct mistakes, add new information, and remove opinionated jargon. I only get on about once a week to see if I have any messages or to make sure no one has screwed up any of my articles or posed false information on my multitude of watched pages. I was a computer technician for a few years on the side and have been a Macintosh User since the Apple II, but only switched completely in 1996. I shall never revert back to Microsoft Windows, and feel sorry for all who continue to use its overcomplicated, antiquated structure.

[edit] Automotive

  • I have been working on cars since I was old enough to hand wrenches to my father and learned to drive on a 1957 Pontiac when I was in elementary school.
  • I became a mechanic in my grandfathers small engine shop by day and helped him restore antique cars at night in High School. I was certified Briggs & Stratton, Husqvarna, Kohler, McCulloch, and Poulan. His health started failing so he sold the business a few years later.
  • I left and went to college and started my own small business selling parts and doing light-repair and customization on the side.
  • I worked for McCulloch Motors Corporation briefly after college as master tech of their hanheld equipment division.
  • I go through cars like socks, I get a new one, use it a while, and get rid of it.
  • I used to repair Jeep, Nissan, and Toyota when I was a teenager, and still tinker with them.
  • I worked at Buick for a few months and hated it.
  • I worked for Isuzu as a salesman for one year and loved it but left.
  • I have started and sold many automotive websites, and going ahead with some new ventures and partnerships.

[edit] Subaru

As a mechanic I once worked on a 1981 Subaru Leone and fell head-over-heels for Subaru!!! I have worked at Subaru Dealers both as a salesman and as a mechanic. I was certified at the highest level for 2.5 of those years and ended up leaving 3yrs afterwards due to a disagreement, swearing I would never work for another dealer and have been working on them on my own since then.

[edit] Music

  • I started playing the Clarinet in 6th grade and loved it!!!
  • I started playing piano in 8th grade and am still getting better at it!
  • I was highly active in Marching band as a Squad Leader.
  • I directed my High School's Wind Ensemble.
  • I picked up the saxophone in 11th grade and within six months was the leader of the High School's Jazz Band.
  • I originally went to college for Music Education, but left because it took all of the fun out of being a musician.
  • I have been in several local bands, but only play in my spare time now.
  • I repair woodwind instruments, antique tube radios, and reed organs.
