[edit] Lolo images
Thanks for uploading all the drawings of characters from the Adventures of Lolo games. I notice they currently don't have image copyright tags. Could you add one to let us know their copyright status? For example, if these are your own drawings and you would like to release them under the GFDL you can use {{gfdl}}, if you claim fair use you can use {{fairuse}}, and so on. If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much, Dave6 19:35, 15 Dec 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Chu Shogi
Simply outstanding work on the Chu Shogi article (I was beginning to think I was the only other person on earth who'd ever played that game!) My one gripe is that you used too many HTML-style tables and now the article is write-only. The compact format {| ... |}
style would have served the article better. It's not too late, is it? --Ardonik.talk()* July 3, 2005 10:56 (UTC)
[edit] Shogi variants
Hi Sivak,
I've had the idea of doing other shogi variants (at least Tenjiku) on the back burner, but I can't claim credit for all these articles. Looks like JTTyler is the one to thank. I'm merely cleaning them up. For now, correcting the pronunciations, which were just guesswork. And there are a couple errors in placement and promotions. Haven't confirmed the moves yet. And no, I haven't actually played any of these games above chu, except against myself!
Glad you're enjoying them, though.

[edit] Go equipment article
Hi Sivak-san,
Well, for me, I've paused for a bit on it. I could add more, but I don't have time to assemble additional info on it. You can go into more detail than I have, it would further the articles usefulness.

[edit] Image at Draconian
You have listed no source for this image, and I believe it is copyrighted material from one of the D&D rule books. Please either confirm that this is copyrighted material (which will be deleted, as this isn't a fair use case) or give a source and license. Thanks. --Dante Alighieri | Talk 19:36, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Lolo Images
Sorry I didn't reply earlier to your question about the images for the Eggerland series, which would apply to images in general. Wikipedia and all their other related websites (such as WikiBooks) want to know the copyright status of anything that you upload to their servers to make sure that you aren't infringing on anyone else's rights.
I saw that Dave6 posted earlier, on December 15th, and asked you to list this information, but you probably didn't know what he was talking about.
In regards to manual scans, they tend to generally fall under the Fair Use category, so you would type the word "fairuse" between {{}}. Likewise, any screenshots would be listed as "screenshot", so you would do the samething, listing it as a screenshot template in the same manner. If you still have the images you can upload them back and put that info on the page with them, and if not you can get them from my WikiBook, which is linked to from the page.
To answer your other question, yes, I have posted on "King Egger and Pleasant Friends" before and they are some nice people. Goryomae was the nice Japanese fellow who auctioned on Revival! Eggerland for me since it was on Yahoo! Auctions Japan and would not ship outside Japan and shipped it to me and I payed him the money (this was back in early 2004).
I'm glad to hear you are working on an Eggerland clone of your own, and I have been working on some pretty interesting custom levels with Revival lately...When I finish them I could send them to you, and I would be interested in seeing your clone one day.

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Eggerland2-BoxArt.png
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Eggerland2-BoxArt.png. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. -- Longhair 10:04, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] hangul
Hi Sivak,
Katakana is not used in Korea, or at least it hasn't been since WWII, except perhaps when marketing to Japanese.
The u of "Hangul" doesn't occur in English. The normal English pronunciation is probably hang'-gool, with the oo of good. The Korean is [han.gɯl].
Well, gotta go. kwami 04:00, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

Tingle has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling to someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Smile to others by adding {{subst:smile}} or {{subst:smile2}} to their talk pages. Happy editing!
[edit] Curse of the Azure bonds screenshot
Hello,
I know I played at least two old D&D DOS games that had images of the Forgotten Realms evil god Bane. Since you were able to get a screenshot from such a game, I was wondering if you could get the old screenshot of the 1st edition appearence of Bane as per my talk page request. His appearence differed greatly from the 3rd edition artist depiction of him (which are the only ones you can find online anywhere). Best regards. 67.5.157.186 06:41, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:BoxArtLolo3(US).jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:BoxArtLolo3(US).jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] Image source problem with Image:Lingo2005-Logo.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Lingo2005-Logo.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:03, 12 December 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ejfetters (talk) 04:03, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Lingo2005-Logo.png
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Lingo2005-Logo.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ejfetters (talk) 04:03, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Gold Box gameplay
An editor has nominated Gold Box gameplay, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gold Box gameplay and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 23:29, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
