[edit] Article title

I've just incorporated various synonyms for this designation into the lead para, and done redirects for them to here.

However, Site of Nature Conservation Importance (SNCI) does not sit very well with the various other names. While it is widely used, it is really just one of several equally valid terms, some of which are also widely used. Would it perhaps be better to rename the article to a more general term, and make SNCI one of the redirects?

The trouble is, what term? PPS 9 just uses "Local Site", which is fine in context, but as the name of an article it's very general and likely to get confused with other things. "Non-statutory wildlife site" is likewise rather general, and though widely used in conservation, it has no formal basis I know of. Any ideas? --Richard New Forest (talk) 10:23, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
