[edit] AfD nomination of Chantelle Paige

An editor has nominated Chantelle Paige, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chantelle Paige and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. For future reference--it is always a good idea to try to make sure your subject meets the requirements set forth at WP:N before you post an article. A major problem with this article is that even though claims of notability are made, there are no reliable, third-party sources to back up the claims (see WP:V for more information on this). Using sites like myspace.com or CHERRY TAP just isn't acceptable. There is also too much unimportant "fluff" information in this article--her favorite makeup, her high school GPA, how many hours a week she did dance training, etc. Try to keep it short and to the point, especially if the subject of the article is borderline notable, as most aspiring celebrites are going to be. Before you write an article, you might want to visit other articles and help improve them and get a feel for what works and what doesn't. I spent a lot of time on Wikipedia fixing up other articles before I began writing new articles--and keep in mind that you might not want to write articles if you have a personal involvement with the subject due to the guidelines at WP:COI. Finally, any information that you gain from personally interviewing the subject can't be included in the article as per the WP:OR policies against original research. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions. janejellyroll 05:15, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
