Hi Sirex98. You posted here regarding 216.231.162.9's edits. 216.231.162.9 now is claiming to be sockpuppets here. Please consider contributing to AndreLapalme SSP if you have anything to add. Thanks. -- Jreferee t/c 09:45, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- Most of this was already in the pending RFCU for the AndreLalme case. Thanks for the info, every bit helps. I'm making your report a subpage of the AndreLapalme SSP case. — Rlevse • Talk • 22:46, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Poker Player Notability
The WP:POKER is discussing what we believe constitutes notability for poker players. We have a proposal on our talk page, if you'd like to chime in, please do so here.Balloonman (talk) 10:04, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Message
While browsing Wikipedia here at school I get yet another vandalism message. I personally believe schools should not be allowed to edit under IP addresses, but only under personal logins. Anyway, so you know, this IP address is Da Vinci College in Gorinchem, Netherlands and you will quite likely find more and more vandalism from bored kids from this address in the future. While it's nice to do a grammatical edit here at school without needing to log in, I could always use my actual account as well. I suggest permanently blocking this IP from editing. Greetings etc, 213.124.168.231 (talk) 09:50, 30 November 2007 (UTC) Oh and I don't know who wrote the HTML and CSS here but there's no such thing as float:center : )
- Well my css and html is not that good, I've never took a lesson, just what I learned here and a few websites as well as looking at other peoples work. also about your request I replied to your talk page if you hadn't already read it.▪◦▪≡ЅiREX≡Talk 14:30, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
I took the liberty of looking up the college and then tagging the IP with the SharedIP template. There is a link to the college's website or I believe to be the college's website as I only know a few words from the country. Anyways, have a good day Rgoodermote 14:10, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you Rgoodermote, and yes the site http://www.davinci.nl/ looks to be correct the ip for the website which = 213.124.168.228.▪◦▪≡ЅiREX≡Talk 14:30, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Nice userpage!
Speaking of userpages, I need a little bit of work done on mine. I want it to look like a diagnostic check (hmm, a racer who's interested in Wikipedia? That's weird) from an old Commodore. Please respond on my talk page. Best, --Gp75motorsports 15:23, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- I was hoping to have it look like a C64 performing a self-diagnostic, with the above quote (the one in parentheses) somewhere in the mix. --Gp75motorsports 15:47, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

- Trust me, if it has anything at all to do with a Commodore, I like it. --Gp75motorsports 16:12, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the userpage! --Gp75motorsports 22:13, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- You're welcome, if you don't like the colors just change them.▪◦▪≡ЅiREX≡Talk 22:15, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
How do you get the "blinking cursor" effect? I was thinking of putting the bootup screen on the bottom with a link to my talkpage. --Gp75motorsports 22:59, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Oh. Thanks. --Gp75motorsports 00:05, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I've seen that kind of thing where some guy thinks something's inaproppriate and deletes it. Oh and BTW I tried to put the bootup screen below the main part of my page but the contents of the main part got scooted way over to the right. How do I fix this? Please respond on my talk. --Gp75motorsports 01:25, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
I didn't actually save it; when I spent about 15 minutes adding and deleting various things, and finally decided to give up. Do you want me to save this time so you can see what happens? --Gp75motorsports 01:49, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- If you like I'll take a look, and try to fix what you were trying to do, if not I'll revert and let you know.▪◦▪≡ЅiREX≡Talk 01:56, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
Hmm, weird. It didn't do it this time. But the "ENTER COMMAND" link to my talk needs to be re-colored. Also, you can change the message so it's more accurate. --Gp75motorsports 02:17, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
No prompt
There isn't a prompt? Hmm. Maybe I could just put something like "C:\gptalkpage.exe" or something. Please respond on my talk. --Gp75motorsports 00:18, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your helping patrol his page. I followed the instructions on the recent death box and asked for semiprotection; was that the right thing to do? PhGustaf 19:57, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- You're Welcome, and it may very well need semi-protection the level of activity has gone up, and yes WP:BLP/N or WP:RPP are the right places to make a request, nice work!▪◦▪≡ЅiREX≡Talk 20:29, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
Computer Poker Players Edits
The computer poker players page is a page dedicated to a discussion on poker bots. The Poker bot pro is a 100% legitimate poker bot that in my opinion is better then most of the other ones out there. Until you can explain to me why Win Holdem, which is a commercially sold poker bot plays better or is in any way more legitimate then the poker bot pro I will continue to re-edit the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.231.18.247 (talk) 13:49, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

I hope this satisfies your concerns. DurovaCharge! 20:52, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- I never thought you would do something outright deceptive, I was just a bit confused, found it when I click what links here on the AfD saw Angela's talk page, on the talk page saw a comment by User:Rudget here [1]clicked Newer edit and was surprised. ▪◦▪≡ЅiREX≡Talk 21:05, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Hi Sirex! Thanks for the note. Yeah I did look through all that, and I chose to simply remove my notice and place an explanation, but I removed the unblocked template ;) And yes, that note today was quite cute, and not the first one of its kind, lol. Thanks for letting me know about all this stuff, and for the kind words! Ariel♥Gold 10:38, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
- Still waiting for your RfA to pop-up WP:600, oh, see that it's redlinked ;). anyway you don't have to say why, I hope that Phaedriel comes back soon :) ▪◦▪≡ЅiREX≡Talk 15:53, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
References/Reflist
Regarding the most trivial thing ever, I've noticed you some time change the references/ tag to reflist. The style guideline suggests references/ should be used when there are ten or less, and reflist when there are ten of more. I don't know if you were aware of that or not, and personally I don't really care one way or another, but I thought I'd just bring it up. :) 2005 (talk) 05:28, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, ok, Just notice them being used everywhere to shrink the text, thank for the note.▪◦▪≡ЅiREX≡Talk 06:11, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Elonka 3
Thank you for your support throughout my RfA process. It was quite a ride! And a very close call, but I'm very happy that the third time, well, you know. ;) Thank you also for your very thoughtful question (and appreciating my answer!). Now, especially since it was such a controversial nom, I'm going to take things very slowly for awhile. Plus of course it's the holiday season, so there are plenty of off-wiki distractions! I'm working my way through the exercises at the "admin school", and will phase very gradually into my use of tools. Thank you for believing in me, Elonka 00:57, 17 December 2007 (UTC)P.S. I think you meant "7|-|E" instead of "7E|-|". But the rest looked awesome. Thanks for the personalized message! :)
- You're Welcome, Glad you liked the congrats spam(was thinking of sending it to you without keys!) :) , I'm also glad you made it, your RfA was like an episode of Survivor. :) , oh as far as the "7E|-|", in leet the = teh , so the translation acts up when you tranzlate ba|<k in 4th, kinda like Internet translators , if you were to translate something that was written in English then translate it into Japanese then back to English you get something goofy like this....
"Your support which is in the midst of my RfA processing thank you. That was riding in a car considerably! And 3rd being good to time, having known the very close call, but I am very happy. ; ) Your consideration deep question and thank you very (and in order to recognize my answering! ). Especially being to be nom where that becomes very the mark of dispute now, I thing intend probably to slowly take very because for a while. Plus naturally that holiday season, so is the recreation of Sawayama's off-wiki which is there! I being "admin school", being able to use my method with practice, do very gradually gradually in my use of the equipment. Believing me thank you" not too bad, babelfish lost in translation :-) ▪◦▪≡SiREX≡Talk 04:10, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Heh, yup, those multi-translated texts can be pretty funny. Let alone single-translated! "All your base". ;) But one question though... Keys? Sorry if I'm being a little dense... I'm dealing with a lot of distractions at the moment. --Elonka 07:16, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Without keys (Mars/Jupiter) what I meant is I didn't want you to have to go thought the trouble to decrypt the binary/leet for such a simple message, although in your world I'm sure my cryptogram-game(if it can even be called that) is laughable! (you could make cryptograms that would make my brain fry I'm sure),I hope your distractions go away and that you enjoy the holidays :-)▪◦▪≡SiREX≡Talk 07:39, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, I'm still not following the Mars/Jupiter part? What I did was this: I recognized that the binary was ASCII, so I converted it, expecting plaintext but then got the bizarre punctuation symbols. I wondered if I'd done it right, but I kept staring at it awhile, and then spotted something that looked like my name and realized what you'd done. :) I didn't recognize all the "leet" symbols, so I separated each word out, and then worked back and forth like a simple substitution cipher until a bit more came through, and then the rest fell into place. But, how do the planets tie into that? --Elonka 08:26, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- When you click [show] the first time you should had see a clickable image planet Mars with a tip-tool message, when you click on the second [show] Jupiter give the second message/link, it was meant to save you time lol, but you got it anyways :-) (hence the the if you are lost message...) (if you don't see them maybe it's your browser, I use firefox). ▪◦▪≡SiREX≡Talk 08:44, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- LOL! So that's why I've been seeing that flickering planet on the left side of my screen. I remember noticing that Mars was appearing way in the lower lefthand corner of my browser (yes I use to Firefox too), but it never occurred to me to click on it. I figured it was just a remnant of one of those weird images that people keep on their userpages (I'm visiting a lot of pages while I'm working on thank you notes). You're right, those tools would have been helpful, heh! I think if I would have been moving more slowly, I probably would have paid more attention to them, but I'm multi-tasking too fast at the moment. Did you see that I got another encrypted congrats? I haven't had a chance to work on it yet. --Elonka 08:55, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

LOL, ok sorry for all that, because you're a game developer/cryptologist , I made a game(zork style)/cryptogram :) and yes I saw the one by EncycloPetey, the congrat are going to be more trouble then the RfA itself lol ;-), I'll let you get back to what you are busy with. :)▪◦▪≡SiREX≡Talk 09:06, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

PokerGob
The external link you deleted for PokerGob is authentic. Mike Caro created the web page and uses it to communicate with people. please visit http://www.pokergob.com/mikecaro and review the content. The Hendon Mob and WPT sites are advertisements for those sites and are far less relevant. I understand why you wouldn't want advertisements on Wikipedia, however he was our first member and is involved in the sites growth. —Preceding unsigned comment added by PokerGob (talk • contribs) 07:06, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- PokerGob I'm sorry, but the site you are trying to link to about Mike Caro cannot be used, the Link you listed above is a mirror of of the information at Caro's home page, which already exist as a external link in his article, there for the site pokergob.com, and the information that is provided is redundant, additionally adding the site (PokerGob.com) also stands as a Conflict of interest even if it did add additional content that did not already exist at Caro's official site, the Hendon Mob tournament results are relevant as a reliable database for live tournament results which may serve better as a reference rather then a external link the same is true with his World Poker Tour profile. ▪◦▪≡SiREX≡Talk 21:47, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Okay no problem, my intentions were not to spam the site, truthfully though, he did create the page. I do understand what you mean however. —Preceding unsigned comment added by PokerGob (talk • contribs) 06:12, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
