Talk:Siren Song of the Counter Culture
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article looks like it was written by someone reviewing it, not talkinga bout it.
I don't really see any opinions stated, so I disagree.
Hmm I think I remember writing some of this and it was when I was a wikipedia rookie. So yeah I'll fix some of the POV, review-sounding stuff. - Razorhead August 16th 2006 3:29 AM PST

[edit] "Project"
Recently, this showed up "Surprisingly on some rare copies of this album a bonus hidden track listed as "Project" on certain computer music players has appeared. It seems to be a early demo version of "Survive". A few of the lyrics are different and it has a different pace to it, but overall the same idea and basicness of "Survive"." Can anyone confirm this?
I found nothing on it, and the same IP had added stuff to other albums which seemed equally as baseless and incorrect, so I'm pretty confident that it's completely false. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Emitime (talk • contribs) 01:01, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Heatseekers Chart
on billboard.com's artist chart history for rise against it says the album hit #1 on the heetseekes chart and not #3.
just thought id fix that :)
[edit] Genre
The genre of the siren song album is not hardcore punk it is Melodic hardcore then hardcore punk so please don't take it out (some songs like blood to bleed, swing life away and anywhere but here are less than hardcore, and songs like Give it all start heavy but then mellow out)
Melodic hardcore is melodic vocals with occasional screaming, Dancing for rain, The first drop, Paper wings and Tip the scales all fit the roles very well.
There's no way this album can be just hardcore with songs like swing life away, blood to bleed and many others, its definately both but a lot more melodic hardcore.
OH no! this record is not hardcore punk!! because there is one ballad(Swing life away) on this record! boy! the most songs are hardcore Melodic Horror
