I have removed this statement, pending verification, because it is not shown on Rayment's list [1]. I have an idea that Lord Provosts were called Rt Hon and this may be the source of a possible mis-statement. - Kittybrewster (talk) 18:20, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- According to the book I have cited Lord Provosts of Edinburgh were automatically appointed to the Privy Council. David Lauder 19:40, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
