Coordinates: 12°50′06″N 80°12′00″E / 12.835, 80.2 Siruseri is a suburb of Chennai, India in Kancheepuram district, Tamil Nadu, located a 30 km south of the city, along Old Mahabalipuram Road. It is located between Navalur and Kelambakkam.

Siruseri roughly marks the end of the IT Corridor of Chennai along Old Mahabalipuram Road, and it is up to here that AZRB plans to convert the road into a six-lane highway.

[edit] Siruseri IT park

The Padur area within Siruseri contains SIPCOT IT Park, a technology park. State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Ltd., SIPCOT, has developed an Information Technology Park in 1,000 acres (4 km²) of land at Siruseri Village. The IT park is about 30 km on OMR from Chennai City, in the Cyber Corridor for allotment of land to IT Companies, who wish to build their own campuses. This park proposes to have all basic infrastructure facilities like separate Sub-Station for power supply, separate telephone exchange and High Speed Data Connectivity. Several IT companies have already booked land in this facility and some companies have already started building their campuses

  • Tata Consultancy Services

TCS has acquired 70 acres of land at a cost of about Rs.13 crore at the new IT Park at Siruseri near Chennai. The company announced plans to scale up its manpower here from 5,000 now, to 7,500 in the next two to three years, and to 10,000 in a year from that. This is the largest project attracted by the Siruseri park of 1,000 acres (4 km²), which is being developed by the State-owned SIPCOT. The construction work of the company is partly over. The company has started its operations in the center, by moving some of the associates from the other branches in chennai. It is said that phase I of the project is over. The design suggests that there is a helipad to be built in the premises of the company, which will be the highest tower in South India.

  • Hexaware Technologies Ltd.

Hexaware has taken 27 acers of land in siruseri for its expanction and had constructed a massive green development center.

  • TCS

Has taken 70 acers of land and now has the asias biggest development center.

  • Infosys

Infosys had requested 30 acres for expanding its Chennai operations

Xansa of UK had acquired 27.36 acres for its development center.

An international housing township spread over 100 acres (0.4 km²) with about 6,000 apartments was supposed to come up in Siruseri being built by Singapore Realty Private Limited. But due to legal issues raised by DMK the plan has been dropped.

The areas in and around Siruseri have seen unpreceedented growth in the last few years. Srinivasa Nagar is a prominent housing complex in the area, that comprises mainly of plots owned by affluent NRIs. With Padma Seshadri school starting a branch in Siruseri and the IT boom, land prices in Siruseri have been sky rocketing and are only expected to go up further

Siruseri's main bus stop is on Old Mahabalipuram Road, outside the SIPCOT IT Park, between Padur and Egattur areas. Buses that stop here are:

proper bus shelter is currently not available outside SIPCOT. However, there are plans to build one.[citation needed]

The bus 21H, between Broadway and Kelambakkam passes via the bus stop but does not stop there.

The only government school in Siruseri is the Panchayat Union Primary School.
