Siraj Al Tall (born 8 January 1982 in the United Arab Emirates) is a Jordanian footballer who is a striker for Sydney Olympic. He is a member of the Jordan national football team. He recently agreed to join Sydney Olympic, in the Australian NSW Premier League[1]. Initially he was not given clearance by the Jordan FA to play for his new club, as they claimed that he had an outstanding contract with his previous club. Siraj maintained that no such contract existed. Sydney Olympic went to FIFA to resolve the situation, and FIFA ruled in favour of Sydney Olympic on 1st May 2008.
“I just want to thank Milan and everyone at Olympic for being patient and waiting for me and my agent to sort this unfortunate mess out.” said al Tall.
“I also want to thank the staff of Football NSW and Football Australia for their efforts, and my national coach Nelo Vingada for speaking to the JFA on my behalf.”
“It’s one of those unfortunate football things. I have put it behind me, and I am now focussed on repaying Sydney Olympic for the faith they have placed in me, impressing A-League clubs, and hopefully representing Jordan again.” said the striker.
A number of A-League clubs are said to gave enquired about Al Tall and Olympic now has the opportunity to invite A-League coaches to come and watch him play. Siraj has stated his desire to make a move to an A-League club as soon as possible by impressing during his time in the NSWPL.
