Sir Thomas Temple, 1st Baronet (9 January 1567 - c. 1637), was an English landowner and Member of Parliament.

Temple was born at Burton Dassett in Warwickshire, the eldest son of John Temple and Susan (née Spencer). As a child he moved with his father to Stowe House in Buckinghamshire. He was educated at Oxford University and Lincoln's Inn.

He married Hester Sandys and they had thirteen children. As a result of the influence of his father in law, he was elected MP for Andover, Hampshire in 1590.
[edit] Honours and Offices
He was knighted by James I in 1603 and purchased a baronetcy in 1611. In 1606, Thomas served as sheriff of Oxfordshire; he was sheriff of Buckinghamshire in 1616 and of Warwickshire in 1620.
