Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital (Traditional Chinese: 浙江大學附屬邵逸伕醫院, Simplified Chinese: 浙江大学附属邵逸夫医院; abbr. SRRSH), is a Zhejiang University School of Medicine owned, renowned hospital located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, People's Republic of China. It's often regarded as one of the best hospitals in both East China and Zhejiang Province [1].

The hospital was founded in December 1989, and opened on May 2, 1994, based on the generous donation (close to 1000 million HKD) from the Hong Kong media mogul and philanthropist Sir Run Run Shaw, who is also a Zhejiang native [2].

December 23, 2006, the hospital became the first one in mainland China of being accredited by the JCI (Joint Commission International; a US-based, WHO-authorized organization for medical quality evaluation).

The hospital is also a teaching and researching base for medical students and scholars. It has been closely cooperateing with the American Loma Linda University (LLU), and also get heavy support from the latter. It has student exchange programs with the United States, Germany, Japan, India, and Hong Kong SAR.

Every year, more than 1000 foreign patients seek medical treatments in this hospital, and the number is increasing dramatically every year recently. It has beds around 1000. [3]
