Sir Richard Bampfylde, 4th Baronet

Sir Richard Bampfylde, 4th Baronet (1722 – 15 July 1776) was a British politician.
The son of Sir Coplestone Bampfylde, 3rd Baronet and Gertrude Carew, he was baptised in Poltimore in Devon on 21 November 1722. In 1727, aged only five, he succeeded to his father's baronetcy. Bampfylde was educated at New College, Oxford, where he graduated with a Master of Arts in 1741. He was Member of Parliament (MP) for Exeter from 1743 to 1747 and for Devon from 1747 to 1776. Bampfylde died and was buried in Politmore on 25 July 1776.
On 8 August 1742, he married Jane Codrington, daughter of Colonel John Codrington in Somerset House Chapel in London. They had one son, Charles Bampfylde.
