Sir John Leman High School (grammar school until 1971) is currently a mixed-sex, 13-18 comprehensive school serving part of the Waveney region in north Suffolk, England. It has approximately 1400 students, including a sixth form of around 300 students. It has been a Technology College for over 4 years. In the most recent Ofsted inspection report (February 2006) it was rated as a 'good' school with an 'good' sixth form. In 2006 the GCSE A*-C pass rate was 60%, up 6% from the previous year. At Advanced Level students consistently achieve 300+ points (UCAS tariff). For fuller information on performance in all exams see the DfES performance tables.

The Sir John Leman High School has a large number of student run bands and groups. Notable bands whose members came together at the school include Korze 4 Koncern and Incandescent. Both bands no longer exist yet made an impact on the local scene whilst in existence, their friendly rivalry often spilling onto the pages of The Beccles and Bungay Journal. Another notable band formed whilst its members attended the school is Plan Nine, who have gone on to enjoy an increasing level of prominence, releasing their first E.P in March 2008. The school's music department is usually supportive in the formation of new bands and regularly rents out music equipment and practice rooms for the students.

Actor Sir John Mills made his acting debut on the stage of Sir John Leman School in a performance of A Midsummer's Night's Dream when he played the part of Puck.
