Sir John A. Macdonald statue
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Sir John A. Macdonald statue is a bronze sculpture of Sir John A. Macdonald, at the south entrance to Victoria Park, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
George E. Wade sculpted the statue to commemorate Macdonald's achievements as Canada’s first Prime Minister. It was cast in five pieces by John Nugent of Regina using a lost wax technique, and soldered together.
Fund-raising for the statue began in 1891 after Macdonald’s death but it was not actually created until 1967.
