Sir Hugh Acland, 5th Baronet (c.1639 - 9 March 1714), was the son of Sir John Acland, 1st Baronet and Elizabeth Vincent.

He succeeded his nephew as 5th Baronet Acland, of Columb John on the latter's death in 1672. He obtained new Letters Patent of the Baronetcy on 21 January 1678, with precedence from 24 June 1644 when the baronetcy was originally created. On his death in 1714 he was succeeded in the baronetcy by his grandson, his eldest son having predeceased him.

He attended Exeter College, Oxford.

He was Member of Parliament for Barnstaple, 1679 and Tiverton 1685-87.

He married Anne Daniel, daughter of Sir Thomas Daniel, 19 March 1674, and had issue:
