Sir Edward Villiers

Sir Edward Villiers (c.1574– 7 Sep 1626), the eldest son of Sir George Villiers, half-brother to George Villiers, 1st Duke of Buckingham, Christopher Villiers, 1st Earl of Anglesey and John Villiers, 1st Viscount Purbeck. In 1617-23 he served as Master of the Mint. He was nominated as Presidnet of the Province of Munster in Ireland in 1622
He married Barbara St. John, nephew of Sir Oliver St John, 1st Viscount Grandison. They had four sons: 2nd Viscount Grandison, 3rd Viscount Grandison, 4th Viscount Grandison and Colonel Edward Villiers.
