Sir Arthur Gore, 1st Baronet

Sir Arthur Gore, 1st Baronet (c. 1640 – 20 December 1697) was an Irish politician.
The son of Sir Paul Gore, 1st Baronet, he was High Sheriff of Mayo and High Sheriff of Galway in 1656. Gore served in a Company of Foot reaching the rank of Major in 1660. In the same year, he was Constable of Fort Falkland. He was Member of Parliament (MP) for County Mayo from 1661 to 1666. On 10 April 1662, he was created a Baronet, of Newtown in County Mayo. He was succeeded by his grandson.
Gore was married to Eleanor St George, daughter of Sir George St George. They had eight children, four daughters and four sons.
