Sir Army Suit is the third album recorded by the Canadian progressive rock band Klaatu. It was noted for being noticeably different from their two previous albums, 3:47 EST and Hope, adopting more of a pop feel (with one song, "Juicy Lucy", being a disco song). In spite of this, though, the album is generally well-regarded by the group's fans.
An animated video was released for the album's opening track, "A Routine Day," the footage of which was taken from the group's ambitious but uncompleted Happy New Year, Planet Earth project.
This is the only original Klaatu album whose cover was not painted by Ted Jones; the cover of Sir Army Suit was painted by Hugh Syme, mainly known for his work with Rush. The cover represented the first crack in the group's notorious anonymity since all three members appeared on the front and back cover, though this wasn't so obvious at the time since almost no one knew what the group's members actually looked like in the first place.
