Sipie (pronounced SY PIE, like Sirius Python) is a computer program written by Eli Criffield for the on-line streaming of Sirius Satellite Radio stations. The program is written in Python, and can use MPlayer, xine, or windows media player to play the streams. Sipie is developed on, and mainly used in Linux but should work on any platform that a python interpreter is available. Originally, Sipie was only usable through a command line but a small lightweight GUI is now included.
[edit] Usage
Sirius Satellite Radio subscribers who use a Linux-based operating system or would like an alternative to sirius.com's online player can use Sipie to login and stream on-line channels, neither Windows Media Player nor a web browser are needed.
