Siphonaria cookiana is a species of small air-breathing sea snail or false limpet, a marine pulmonate gastropod mollusc in the family Siphonariidae, the false limpets.

This species of false limpet is endemic to New Zealand. It is found throughout New Zealand including Stewart Island and the Chatham Islands.

This snail lives on rocks at low tide level in clear water situations.
[edit] Shell description
The shell is small, broadly ovate, with a central, rather sharply conical apex. Sculpture consists of about 17 smooth, rounded radial ribs.
The shell coloration is dark brown on the apex, fading to greyish-fawn towards the margin, with whitish ribs. Internally, it is purplish-brown fading to whitish at the margin, always with a whitish streak following the lateral groove to the middle.
The shell length is up to 15 mm, width up to 12.5 mm, and height up to 5.5 mm.
